BEET = CRAMPY/SWINGY/POLKA!

The Russians were historically notorious for appropriating Ukrainian music, so we figured we'd turn the tables. While this tune has become part of the repertoire of Ukrainian Canadian dance bands, we realised that the final melody is actually the Russian tune that accompanied the video game, Tetris. We took the traditional polka and applied different beats to it: grungy, swing, and flat-out polka. The last time through invokes the spirit of a 1960's D-Drifters recording of "Russian Fantasy Polka."
